Mine is a Part-Time dental practice, with a great emphasis on our patients’ care and wellbeing.
I like to focus on the prevention of dental problems, so be prepared for my Oral Hygiene Instruction and my Diet Advice!
My aim is that my patients can be in control of their oral health, will not have cause for worry and concern, and any treatment received will last and last.
I offer the usual range of treatments, starting with teeth and gum examination, including discussion of the status of the mouth and of any treatment needs. Caring for your teeth and preventing gum disease is a large part of our concerned service.
The various treatment options will be outlined, with their advantages and disadvantages, possible benefits and risks, to help patients decide the treatment that bests suits their needs.
I am lucky to have Mary as my receptionist and dental assistant.

Together, we are happy to treat all members of the family. We care for children, adults and into later years with their varying needs and priorities.
We understand that people are sometimes nervous of dentistry, We do our best to cater for this and put patients at their ease – we do have reasonable success!
The Dental practice is open during National School term times … to allow me to spend most of the school holidays being a Full-Time mom.
However, when the schools are closed, I monitor my answer-phone at midday and 6pm daily, and provide dental treatment for people with emergencies – it is generally an honour to be trusted with a patient’s care, so I do make myself available when needed, if I can.
So that’s the (long) intro to the dental practice at 72 North St., Skibbereen.
Please contact 028/21690 to make an appointment, and we look forward to meeting and treating you here!
Best Wishes,
Caitriona
